Series: What Are You Doing?
‘What Are You Doing?’ is a conversation podcast in which we hear about the day to day life of someone, we might not have thought about before. I invite anyone who likes to talk about their everyday occupation to sit down with me for up to an hour. This explicitly includes people without work or unpaid domestic workers.
Most of how we spent our time is invisible to the wider public. I think most occupations get underestimated not only in terms of complexity but also stressfulness. In our conversation we will come across anecdotes that can help the listener get a grasp of how no occupation is easy.
I want to talk to anyone who’s willing to speak on the record, really! Of course will only publish their names or employers if my collocutor asks me to. The conversation is discrete but also personal.
About me
My name is Benedikt Päffgen, I studied Performance Art in London and try to contribute to a society where solidarity and appreciation for people’s’ lives and livelihoods is paramount. I truly believe that once we understand each other’s occupation, we can grow as a society and support one another.
